curriculum, supervised visual artists, musicians, and contractors. Responsible for curriculum, supplies, public relations, internal and
external education, institutional collaborations, policy input, budget, grant research, data collection, and expansion of healing arts

patients and families), Oncology, Infusion, Neurology (Stroke, Parkinsons, ALS, and Epilepsy patients) and Psychiatric Units.
Conceived and Implemented several public art exhibitions/events involving artists, patients, staff, and partner institutions:
Tree of Life Memorial for Organ Donors with Jacksonville University:
In partnership with Sculpture Professor at Jacksonville University, created a “design challenge” for Fall 2010 Sculpture 1
class dedicated to commissioned public art project to memorialize specific organ donors at the hospital. Field trips to JU
and hospital, interviews with doctors and staff and organ recipients gave context to student ideas. Students created bronze
and wood Tree of Life with names of patients etched each year. Families come by and take “rubbings” of their loved ones
names annually. This became an icon for the hospital, and a tool for organ donation education and PR drives and won a
State of Florida Public Art Award for 2011.
Portraits of Hope:
30’ x 3’ Photographic Exhibition of Patients who died on the operating table, and survived to share life after trauma
